With a shared vision for sustainable progress, Ras Al Khaimah and Indonesia have built a prolific engagement that continues to spur manifold economic and social benefits.

Under the aegis of HH Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al-Qasimi,
Crown Prince of RAK, the Government of Ras Al
Khaimah has embarked on several initiatives that
strengthen business and economic ties with Indonesia,
one of the world's most promising investment destinations.

In 2008, the RAK Investment Authority (RAKIA) and
RAK Minerals & Metals Investments (RMMI) presented
a high level strategic roadmap to visiting Indonesian
President Dr. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

Earlier in the year, the Government of Ras Al
Khaimah signed a memorandum of understanding
with Indonesia to develop an industrial city
and bulk cargo handling port in the country.

With the 5th World Islamic Economic Forum
(WIEF) being hosted in Jakarta, Indonesia
in March 2009, Ras Al Khaimah continues
its support for Indonesia and its
commitment to this global gathering, that
promote strong alliances for genuine
peace and prosperity between
nations, races and religion.

As STRATEGIC PARTNER, RMMI cements
its commitment to the WIEF and its
objectives.

His Highness Sheikh Saud will grace the
Opening Ceremony as a Distinguished
Speaker, and to sign a
Government-to-Government Agreement
spanning economic and social development initiatives in Indonesia. RMMI will also
co-present the Gala Dinner with President
Yudhoyono on the first day of the forum.
